I'm so glad I didn't listen to top 40 radio today, so I didn't have to listen to people complain that the VMAs were too, "uh...too much rap" which is just a euphemism.

The irony is that MTV has an award show for videos, when they no longer PLAY videos. I watched a few minutes and was like, "Oh, there's a video for that song? I heard it on the radio, but when would I ever see a video?"

So yes, there's tons of Black people on the VMAs, but that's what white middle America likes, obviously, or else Mtv wouldn't put it on, so why the complaints, like the last few years? Man, in 1985 I probably watched the VMAs from start to finish. Now I couldn't really care. I don't even know who half the people are. And no prettyboys! Why watch?

They should just return the show to either NYC or LA. Those are really the only 2 good places for celebrity award shows. The VMA's sucked last year and sucked this year--all the celebrities are in LA or NY, so why have them in Miami?

It must have saved them a ton of $$ to do it there. And then with all the waterfall motif stuff? Bad, bad, bad timing, Mtv.
